Franco Roero Barbera d’Asti Superiore “213” is a bold yet elegant Barbera with deep ruby tones and aromas of cherry, plum, and warm spice. Aged in oak, it delivers a smooth, full-bodied palate with notes of ripe red fruit, vanilla, and a hint of earthiness. Perfect with grilled meats, pasta, and aged cheeses.

This Barbera is grown in the gently sloping hills of Asti in the Piedmont region of northern Italy. The area’s clay-limestone soil and moderate climate with warm days and cool nights help the grapes develop vibrant acidity and rich, concentrated fruit flavors.

This wine pours a vivid ruby red and opens with aromas of cherry, red currant, and a touch of earthiness. On the palate, it’s juicy and smooth, with flavors of ripe berries, subtle spice, and lively acidity that gives it a clean, balanced finish. Serve at 16–18°C (60–64°F) for the best experience.

The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo fermentation on the skins (emerged cap) at a controlled temperature of 26°C for 15 days. This method enhances color extraction, aroma, and structure. After fermentation, the wine is gently aged to soften the tannins and preserve the freshness and vibrancy of the fruit.
